What Every Driver Should Know in the Event of an Auto Accident.

  • Stay calm, turn your emergency flashing lights on and call the Police immediately from the scene or ask someone to call for you so that an accident report can be created at the scene. Sometimes, it might take longer to see the police than you expect. However, we strongly recommend you seeing the police at the scene especially when you are not an at-fault driver.
  • If you or others are suffering any physical injury, call for medical assistance. You can go to an emergency room by an ambulance in case of any emergency medical assistance. However, there will be additional charges, between $800 up approximately, if you don't have your own health insurance.
  • Exchange vital information with the other driver involved in the car accident. Write down the other driver's name, address, phone number, driver's license number, license plate number, name of registered owner of the car, and insurance information for all drivers and witnesses.
  • If you are suspicious of the circumstances, particularly at night or female driver, stay in your vehicle and drive to a police station or heavily populated area for assistance.
  • If there were witnesses, try to get their contact information. Also, use your cellular phone's camera to document the damage to all the vehicles.
